A surface parking lot just south of Congress Parkway could be the site of a new residential high-rise once the economic climate improves, according to the Sun-Times. Investors William Pacella, George Bonomo, and Shadow Mirkhaef are pursuing approval of a 33-story, 276-unit tower at 519 S Clinton St. The units could be apartments or condos, depending on market conditions.
Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture's Web site features a single rendering of the building. The design bears a passing resemblance to 235 Van Buren, which features a similar series of balconies of varying widths running up its southern face.
