Price reductions of 40 percent or more on the North Shore

Not satisfied with feeding only on price reductions within the Chicago city limits, CondoShark.com's Matt Garrison has unleashed the ShoreShark to track down deals on the North Shore and other northern suburbs.

ShoreShark has sniffed out 80 homes in Deerfield, Glencoe, Glenview, Highland Park, Kenilworth, Lake Forest, Wilmette, and Winnetka, whose listing prices have fallen by at least 10 percent. Four of those homes have seen cuts of 40 percent or more. They are:

North Shore

• 184 Onwentsia Rd in Lake Forest: Was $6.7 million, now $3.99 million
• 515 Kenilworth Ave in Kenilworth: Was $1.99 million, now $1.09 million

North suburbs:

• 1247 Carlisle Pl in Deerfield: Was $679,000, now $399,000
• 412 Sheryl Ln in Glenview: Was $399,000, now $229,000
